Howdy, y’all!

Welcome to the blog about our Bourbon Chase team running and raising money for the National Hospice Foundation. We are a hardy group of 12 “runners” who have been touched by Hospice in some way or another and want a chance to give back. This is our chance.

What’s the Bourbon Chase you ask? The Bourbon Chase is a 200-mile overnight relay along the picturesque (assuming you are running during the daylight hours, which some of us will not be- remember I said it was OVERNIGHT…) Kentucky Bourbon Trail. We’ve been training for months and months weeks for this event and are really excited to hit the road! You can find out more about the relay here There is a really cool video that gives me chills each time I watch it. It’s good stuff for sure.

We also have a fundraising page, since we are a charity team for the National Hospice Foundation. That means we agreed as a team to raise at least $5000 for the National Hospice Foundation as our entry fee. We are off to a good start but could always use some help. Please check out (and support) our fundraising efforts here and give until it hurts!

Check back often to see what we are up to. We’ll be sharing our training stories and some pics and our new team logo once the slacker graphic designer of the group gets motivated inspired to create one.

Also note that we will be a guest blogger on in the very near future to help promote our team and share the stories of why we are running for Hospice.

Many thanks and CHEERS from all of us! Prim Wathen, Stephen Barnett, Amy Jones, Amy Brin, Shelley Duncklee, Tony Jackson, John Dixon, Holly Uebel, Patrick Barker, Catherine Hayden, Erin Holaday and Molly Dabney.
